Sergeant
Robin Iffla joined the Police Service in 1978 and was the first
minority ethnic officer to be recruited by Central Scotland
Police.
He
has served in Stirling, Dunblane, Balfron and Police Headquarters
as a uniformed constable and as community safety officer. During
his time in the community safety department he became the force's
first architectural liaison officer and also fulfilled the roles
of education liaison officer and local authority liaison officer
to Stirling Council.
As
lead trainer for the National Equal Opportunities Training Strategy
adopted by the Force, Robin is responsible for the delivery
of the programme to Police, Fire Service personnel and members
of other agencies.
He
is currently Chair of the Scottish Diversity Trainers Network
and is a founding member of SEMPERscotland.
