This website provides an insight into our background; our objectives; the partners we work with; the services we offer and some of the activities we’re involve in.

What we do

Act as an advisory body to the Scottish police service and the Department for Justice on new policies that may impact on our membership such as the recent Police Reform; Police Promotion Amendment Regulations and Disciplinary Action for Special Constables.

Who we are

We are committed to promoting wider understanding of the needs of minority ethnic employees and the valuable contribution they make to the overall success of policing in Scotland. We promote equality of opportunity and fairness throughout.

Background

We are a Scottish-wide staff association, whose primary function is to support and represent all minority ethnic employees of the Scottish police service.

Youth Programmes

We have dedicated a great deal of time to working with young people and over the past years have had partnership programmes involving young minority ethnic adults.

SEMPERscotland & Young People

SEMPERscotland is keen to see black and minority ethnic young men and women fully participate in the socio-political process. We want them to highlight, celebrate and spread ideas like justice, respect and compassion throughout their communities.
